What is Medway Mainline?
Medway Mainline is a network of six routes within the Medway Towns provided by Arriva’s fleet of modern buses running seven days a week* and up to every 10 or 12 minutes for most of the day on Mondays to Saturdays between approximately 7am and 7pm with evening buses as well.

Turn up and go!
Buses every 10 or 12 minutes mean you can turn up at the bus stop and if you’ve just missed a bus you know that you won’t have to wait long for the next one.

The Chatham connection
All Medway Mainline services run to and from Chatham Bus Station, right in the heart of town. This allows you to change between Medway Mainline services and to make connections with Arriva’s comprehensive network of services to other parts of Medway and to surrounding places such as Bluewater, Gravesend, and Maidstone.

The new Chatham Waterfornt Bus Station which is located in Globe Lane, between the Pentagon Shopping Centre and the riverside, opens to the public on Monday 10th October. For further details about the new bus station, please click here.

Chatham Rail Station
Many Arriva services stop at Chatham Rail Station and there is a very frequent service from the Rail Station to the Bus Station and the universities.

Buses from the Rail Station also run directly to Walderslade, Davis Estate, Maidstone, Rochester, Strood, Gravesend, Cliffe, Hoo and Grain.
